Case Study: Social Content Systems at Scale

Building streamlined workflows and design systems to elevate social content across global brands.

Overview

The agency’s social content offering served a wide portfolio of retained and project-based clients, but its production approach lacked consistency and efficiency. I partnered with account leads and the design team to restructure the way social content was created, reviewed, and delivered — driving both speed and creative excellence.

The challenge

The agency’s social content offering was slowed by inconsistent workflows for retained versus bespoke client asks, a lack of centralized libraries for templates and assets, and significant time lost in review loops, asset distribution, and cross-team collaboration.

The approach

I audited existing processes with account teams to identify pain points. I designed streamlined workflows for both retained and ad hoc requests. I then developed structured systems for asset creation and delivery that:

  • Centralized template and asset libraries for both internal and client access.
  • Shared collaboration and review workspaces for design teams.
  • Standardized presentation formats for client-facing delivery.

The execution

The process allowed for the delivery of static assets, animations, carousels, video cutdowns, and sizzle reels across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. These were produced within reusable, scalable design libraries that streamlined workflows, reduced overall production timelines, and supported faster iteration while maintaining a consistent standard of quality.

The results

The new systems elevated design consistency through clear creative frameworks that balanced each brand’s voice with platform best practices, ensuring content was both on-strategy and optimized for performance.

  • Significant reduction in time-to-produce across all client work.
  • Reduced friction in creative and review cycles.
  • Centralized libraries ensured easy version control, faster revisions, and consistent design quality.
  • A leaderboard and replay functionality for competitive engagement
  • Enabled a small team to manage high output across multiple high-profile accounts.
  • Raised the standard of design excellence for social content agency-wide.
  • Clients served through this system: Opendoor, Slack, Google, IBM, Intercom, Nuro, Universal Hydrogen, California Forever, Microsoft, DocuSign, VMware, KPMG, Hinge Health, and more.
